Dashavatara

Dashavatar is a landmark large-scale international dance production exploring the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu — created and choreographed by Guru Dr. Pali Chandra

About the production

Dashavatar is a full-length theatrical production of approximately 90 minutes, performed without interval. It brings together a company of artists drawn from across the globe — trained iunder the singular choreographic vision of Guru Dr. Pali Chandra.

The work is structured around the ten principal incarnations (Avatars) of Lord Vishnu as described in the Bhagavata Purana and Garuda Purana: Matsya, Kurma, Varaha, Narasimha, Vamana, Parashurama, Rama, Krishna, Buddha, and Kalki.

Each Avatar receives its own choreographic chapter — distinct in movement vocabulary, emotional register, and musical landscape — while the whole is bound by a continuous philosophical and narrative arc.
